The site was the subject of a recent outline planning application for residential development in the form of one dwelling house, under reference 2023/0669/01/OUT and details of the application can be accessed on the planning portal using that reference number. The application was rejected on 7 Dec 2023 on the grounds that the proposed development failed to meet the planning demands for biodiversity net gain.
The Decision Notice contains the statement ‘Despite the Council wanting to work with the applicant in a positive and probative manner, the proposed development is contrary to the policies referred to in the reasons for refusal and it has not been possible to reach an agreed solution’.
The vendors have decided not to work further on the proposed development and it may therefore be possible for a buyer to look into this further.
